Big Changes to #Verizon Plans Tomorrow!!
Today, Wednesday June 27th is the last day you can make changes to your Verizon Wireless (VZW) plans, and not be forced into the new bundling "share everything" plans. After midnight, significant changes will force you to select new a new data package, and the rates will go up for you depending on the mix of phones on your plan.
Also, if you currently enjoy an "unlimited" data plan, you will loose that privilege. Data plans to be shared on the account start at 1 GB, and go up in 2GB increments. Note that the data is shared by definition. If you have two or three smartphones on unlimited data plans, you could be looking at $80 just for data, in addition to $40 per phone for just "line access".

It becomes very costly to have the feature phones (aka dumb cell phones) on a plan. Right now, the feature phones cost $9.99 per line on a family share plan. That price will increase to $30 per phone with the new plan.
Need access to corporate data?That will cost an extra $15 per line as well.
The only bright side to the new plans is that the wifi hotspot feature is not billed anymore, for smartphones that support it. You can use your smartphone as a wifi access point while at the beach, no additional charge.
So, a good strategy here is to make you plan changes TODAY, and avoid the move to the bundling plans as long as you can.
