Top 8 MEM Intune ConfigMgr Ignite Nov 2021 Sessions

Let me share the top 8 MEM Intune ConfigMgr Microsoft Ignite Nov 2021 sessions. I have selected these sessions after reading the description of these sessions.

There are many other interesting sessions related to Windows 365 Cloud PC, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Windows 11. I have not covered Azure AD and security-related sessions also in the following list.

I have selected some interesting sessions related to Windows Update for Business – WUfB (or Cloud Update Management). Another very useful session is going to be the one about the depreciation of Microsoft store for business.

Windows Update for Business by Aria Carley

WSUS and Cloud Update Management – I think Aria Carley’s sessions details are interesting. WUfB is called Cloud Update Management (CUM). It would be interesting to see whether there is any rebranding there.

Patch My PC

Managing Windows updates in the cloud (The Blueprint Files) – dig into what role the client plays in both WSUS and cloud update management, and some of the key differences in how you manage Windows updates on-premises and in the cloud. Not to mention how you can get the best of both worlds if you are using WSUS today.

Strengthen your Security Posture with MEM

An interesting session from Steve Dispensa and Ramya Chitrakar. I will expect to have new feature announcements in this session.

Learn how Microsoft Endpoint Manager helps you adapt with Microsoft 365 integration, cross-platform support from Windows to iOS and beyond, and integrate security with automation that simplifies IT and security workflows.

Modern endpoint management empowers IT to provide workplace flexibility with options to deploy, manage and protect the apps and devices employees use every day.

Deploying and managing Windows

I think this is going to be a very useful and interesting session from Namrata Bachwani, Aria Carley, Steve DiAcetis, and Joe Lurie. Even though timings are a bit odd for the people from India. The timing challenge is applicable for most of the sessions.

Adopting Windows 11. Supporting Windows 10. Rolling out Windows 365 Cloud PCs. Deploying updates. Moving from on-prem to cloud attach. We’ve got a wide range of experts to answer your questions.

Manage Windows updates in the Cloud

Another Windows Update for Business (WUfB). Julie Andreacola already shared (probably?) all these updates in her MMS session?

Keeping Windows up-to-date is vital to the security of the devices in your organization—and can help improve end-user productivity. Get the knowledge you need to simplify update deployment by leveraging the cloud to manage Windows feature updates and monthly quality updates across your organization.

Reimagine employee experiences with MEM

This could be another interesting Ignite session hosted by Jason Githens and Bryan Keller. This is the only session I’m expecting to hear something about Configuration Manager (SCCM). This would be an on-demand session already recorded.

I think this session recording will be available first day itself. From simplified mobile device enrollment and protecting Microsoft Teams apps and endpoints to enabling employees with virtual desktop experiences, modernizing your approach to endpoint management removes complexity and the cost of delivering a great user experience.

New Microsoft Store

Microsoft Store for Business depreciation is going to be discussed in this session and this is going to be interesting for sure. What are the challenges SCCM/ConfigMgr non co-managed environments going to face with the new Microsoft store announcement?

With the recent announcement of the deprecation of the Microsoft Store for Business, come learn how to deliver apps to your Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices, using Windows Package Manage, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and the Company Portal.

This is also an on-demand session and will be available during the first day of Ignite itself as per the previous Ignite experience.

Endpoint Management for hybrid work

Endpoint Management for hybrid work session name is a bit confusing for me. Mike Danoski and Heena Macwan are going to deliver this session. I think this session might give some interesting data points about Intune remote access, Autopilot, and additional security configurations.

New challenges with remote workforces bring additional complexity. We will discuss how Windows Autopilot, remote access, and secure device configuration can help your hybrid workforce

Collect, Track, View, and Interpret data in Intune

This is going to be an interesting session where Intune engineer team probably going to talk about some neat features to enhance the Intune inventory capabilities and Intune reports?

The MEM team is exploring how we can help you collect, track, view, and interpret data in Intune. At this roundtable, we’ll discuss your use cases, pain points, and wish list for gathering data, using it, and sharing it through MEM.

  1. Was that reference to “Cloud Update Management” on the session information at one point? Hopefully that’s a joke / placeholder as I don’t want to have to write sections in documents about a feature called that or its acronym, haha
