Microsoft Evaluation Center Portal is Down? I was trying to download the baseline version of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (aka SCCM) from the Microsoft Evaluation Center website.
Update May 20th, 2022 – Microsoft Eval Center is back ONLINE! -> Microsoft Evaluation Center
It seems the Eval center website is down or redirected for the last 1 week or more. I have checked this 9th May 2022 and it’s been down since then. The Microsoft Evaluation Center portal is getting redirected to the Microsoft Download portal.
I normally use the evaluation center website to try out the SCCM baseline versions and build temporary labs etc. The Microsoft evaluation center is helpful for IT Pros to test the Microsoft software for a limited amount of time.

Microsoft Evaluation Center Portal is Down?
The evaluation center is helpful because it provides the full functionality of an application for a limited amount of time. Normally the evaluation will expire within 180 days.
I have not seen any communication from Microsoft that they are making all the evaluation software available through the Microsoft download portal.
Microsoft Evaluation Center is Temporarily Down

She provided all the temporary download links to trial versions of all the applications. Windows Virtual Hardware Lab Kit (VHLK) direct download links are available in the below table.

Why Microsoft Evaluation Center Links are Redirected to Microsoft Download?
I don’t know Why Microsoft Evaluation Center Links are Redirected to Microsoft Download? I have seen this is been reported to Microsoft through various channels but didn’t see any feedback from Microsoft yet.
This is not only for just software downloads but also for other things such as lab evaluation kits etc. The Microsoft Endpoint Manager Evaluation Lab Kit provides a self-deploying SCCM lab environment and self-guided instructions to get hands-on with both the on-premises and cloud aspects.
All the Microsoft eval center links have been redirected to Microsoft Download.
Microsoft Search Shows Evaluation Center Results
I can see that the Microsoft Search Shows Evaluation Center results. However, none of the links mentioned in the eval center are working. Everything is being redirected to Microsoft Download.

Microsoft Evaluation Center is Microsoft Download?
I don’t know why all the links to Microsoft Evaluation Center are getting redirected to Microsoft Download. I hope it’s a technical glitch from the Microsoft side and not something like Microsoft is planning to consolidate Evaluation Center into Microsoft Download.
For now, everything is being redirected to Microsoft Downloads. I will keep this post updated whenever I have more news on this topic.
