Latest Windows 11 update End User experience

My first Windows 11 update end user experience is in this post. Microsoft announced Windows 11 insider preview build version 22000.65. The refresh desktop option is back without needing to click “Show more options.”

  • Launch Settings application from the Start button.
  • Click on the Update and Security tab.
  • Click on the Windows Update tab.
  • Click on Check for Updates button to seek the updates.

The cumulative update for Windows 11 (10.0.22000.65)(KB5004745) starts downloading process. This is the first stage of the Windows 11 update, similar to Windows 10.

The next phase in the Windows 11 update is installing phase. As an end-user, I didn’t notice any performance issues.

The next phase in Windows 11 update is Pending Restart. You can click on Restart now button to complete the update.

I have not seen this notification before. The following message – Someone else is still using this PC. If you restart now, they could lose unsaved work. You can click on the Restart anyway button to complete the updates.

  1. Hi Anoop,

    I thought Windows 10 was going to be Evergreen and that we will have only the version changing but not the product – Windows 10 1909, 20 H2 etc ? If they have released Windows 11 – does that mean earlier like Windows XP, 7 and 10 we will have now 12, 14,15 ?
