Seattle-based AuthenticID landed $100 million in a minority investment from Long Ridge Equity Partners. Founded in 2001, AuthenticID provides “identity proofing” software to U.S. wireless carriers, banks, credit bureaus, and other large enterprise companies. Customers use cases include age verification; fraud detection; application onboarding; biometrics; and more.

AuthenticID has 65 employees, according to LinkedIn, and is led by CEO Jeff Jani, who joined the company in 2017 after a 20-year stint with NextGen Strategy. Other identification verification companies in the Pacific Northwest include SheerID and Auth0, which was acquired by Okta earlier this year for $6.5 billion.
