There is a new Out of Band Hotfix KB 4576782 released for ConfigMgr Manager 2002 to Fix the SCCM Application Blade Times Out Issue. I have added these Hotfix details into SCCM 2002 Known Issues Bugs Fixes.
The KB 4576782 release as out of Band hotfix even after releasing the SCCM 2006 version into production is a bit surprising for me. You can also read the secondary server upgrade of the SCCM 2006 version from the previous post.
Issue – SCCM Application Blade Times Out
It seems the Application blade in the MEM admin center may time out or take a long time to display results. Other views in the admin center display results without issue.
You can confirm this issue when you see the below error in the AdminService.log:
System.Data.Entity.Core.EntityCommandExecutionException: An error occurred while executing the command definition. See the inner exception for details. System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The wait operation timed out
