Google developed it as a system back in 2003. They found there was a lot of bottlenecking between administrative work and development work. They found that they were hiring more and more system administrators. Google was one of the first companies to develop it. Other companies have since adopted it.

and really made that my work since 2003 on how do we go about finding vulnerabilities before attackers and just as importantly, how do we get those fixes fielded? Like, DevSecOps, the problems facing DevSecOps face every system administrator if we go back in the world. I actually went back to grad school, got a Ph.D.
