Apple to launch iPhone 15 on September 12, Apple iPhone event
  • As usual, Apple’s next big event is confirmed to be held in September.
  • Named Wonderlust, Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone, Apple Watch and release other software updates at the event.
  • Apple’s Wonderlust event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in the company’s Apple Park, California headquarters on September 12, 2023.

With one of the two significant Apple events wrapped up in June 2023, Apple’s next big event is confirmed, as usual, in September. Apple’s iPhone event will be held at 10 AM PT on September 12, 2023, with invites being sent out earlier this week.

While the Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC in June usually focuses on core software updates and new product introductions, Apple’s fall event is held to roll out the company’s latest products, including the new iteration of its bread and butter, the iPhone.

This year is no different, with iPhone 15, Apple Watches and other products slated for release. The iPhone line, in particular, is reportedly expected to add four new models, including a ‘Plus’ device, a standard one, a Pro design and finally a Pro Max device, given in their order of price range.

One of the biggest upgrades users can expect from the Wonderlust event is the inclusion of the USB-C port to iPhones to comply with the European Union’s upcoming regulations. However, it is unclear if Apple is getting rid of the Lightning connector. iPhone 15 is also expected to have 35W fast charging, according to 9to5Mac, and Dynamic Island.

The Apple Watch Series 9 is rumored to be updated with the S9 processor.

Besides the hardware, Apple should also release iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, and probably macOS Sonoma. For details, refer to Spiceworks News and Insights’ coverage of WWDC 2023.

Apple’s September 12 Wonderlust event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in the company’s Apple Park, California headquarters. The event will likely be live-streamed on the Apple website and YouTube channel.

One more thing…

Hardcore Apple fans should know to expect a surprise launch in the One More Thing event. Apple’s previous One More Thing launches include FaceTime, the iPhone X, Apple Music, Apple Watch, iTunes Match, and the iconic introduction of the MacBook Air, where former CEO and founder Steve Jobs pulled it out of an envelope.

It is unlikely that the Apple Vision Pro would get this prime, end-of-the-event slot, given it was already demoed at WWDC 2023.

Don’t forget to catch the latest surprise, the latest of which, the iPhone X, was released way back in 2017.
