The season of technology conferences is almost over. November will be relatively less crammed in terms of the number of important events in the month. Nevertheless, there are a few learning-oriented conferences that the tech community can take advantage of before easing off into the holiday season.
Spiceworks News & Insights lists its top five curated conferences to attend this November. Here’s what November 2023 holds in store.
Tech Conferences in November 2023
1. DevOps Barcelona
This two-day affair caters to system admins, developers, managers, and DevOps practitioners and centers around modern software delivery, especially in the context of cloud applications, open source, and everything in between.
The conference will feature 16 talk sessions delivered by 21 industry experts, who will touch base on topics such as security in today’s GitOps environment, how ChatGPT can help with observability, the impact of AI on DevSecOps, and more.
Location: AXA Auditorium, Barcelona, Spain
Date(s): November 9-10, 2023
Attendance: Offline; paid registration required
2. Web Summit
Weeks before the event, Web Summit announced a new CEO: the former Wikimedia Foundation CEO Katherine Maher. The executive, who also chairs privacy-focused messaging app Signal’s board, said, “In recent weeks, Web Summit has been at the center of the conversation, rather than the host. Its purpose was overshadowed by the personal comments of the event’s founder and former CEO, Paddy Cosgrave.”
Cosgrave’s comments on the conflict in Israel-Gaza may have introduced a hiccup in the run-up to the premier event, expected to host 70,000 people in mid-November. However, the event, now in its 15th year, expects smooth sailing. Google, Meta, Amazon, Intel, Siemens, and others said they would not attend this year’s Web Summit.
With an expected attendance of more than 1,000 speakers, 800 investors, 2,600+ startups, and over 300 partners, Web Summit 2023 will create networking, learning, awareness, lead generation, and investment opportunities.
Location: Altice Arena & Fil, Lisbon, Portugal
Date(s): November 13-16, 2023
Attendance: Offline; paid registration required
3. Microsoft Ignite
The most significant announcement Microsoft can make right now is the introduction of its underwriting artificial intelligence (AI) chip. According to a report from The Information, that’s exactly what Microsoft will do at its annual conference for developers and IT pros.
Microsoft has made significant investments in AI over the years, including a total of $11 billion in ChatGPT and Dall-E creator OpenAI. The company is rapidly incorporating AI into its products, such as its flagship operating system, Windows 11, productivity suite Microsoft 365, and more. So, pushing to build prowess for an in-house dedicated AI silicon, something that has propelled NVIDIA to over $1 trillion in market capitalization, is a no-brainer.
Expect AI-driven advancements in Copilot, product and functionality demos, and the company’s vision for the future.
Microsoft Ignite 2023 tickets have already sold out last month, but you can still catch the keynotes and other talks online by registering with the company.
Location: Seattle Convention Center | Summit, Seattle, WA
Date(s): November 14-17, 2023
Attendance: Offline; paid registration required; Free registration for online sessions (Nov 15-18)

The conference goes beyond breakout sessions, featuring Bootcamps, AWS Builder Labs, and more (totaling 2,000+ technical sessions) for hands-on learning experiences.
