Stuxnet was, for me, the first time I really realized that there are other operating systems in production and suddenly programmable logic controller (PLC) became part of my everyday vocabulary, as did Siemens Step7, the name of the PLC operating system that had been attacked by Stuxnet. Van Norman: We get people all over from students and academia we get controls people that work on the control systems engineers and technicians who want to learn more about security. We get the InfoSec people that that were on enterprise systems. For example, I have a laptop and it runs Linux so I can get into network security.
