  • Artificial intelligence (AI) has seen numerous notable developments in 2023.
  • With the massive popularity of ChatGPT, other companies have made strides in the field, with Bard and AutoGPT being notable examples.

AutoGPT is an open-source, experimental AI based on GPT-4, aimed toward making GPT-4 completely autonomous. The process aims to allow AI models to complete tasks without human input. Testers have demonstrated various capabilities of AutoGPT, including information gathering, memory management, text generation, and file summarization and storage. Its popular use cases include autonomous coding, debugging, and social media botting.

The application has been designed to run on the PINECONE API key, Python 3.8 and above, and the OpenAI API key. So far, AutoGPT is not a polished product for end users and may provide flawed results in complex, real-world situations.

However, it has the potential to manage and develop businesses autonomously by automating data analysis, tracking opportunities, and implementing suitable actions, including cybersecurity, supply chain management, HR, customer service, product development, etc.

Bard AI Assistant Utility To Be Enhanced Through Coding Skills

Google, too, has taken additional steps to update its AI tool Bard to remain competitive. The company launched an Experiment Updates page for its Bard AI project, improving transparency and informing users about any changes and testing them out.

Furthermore, Bard will now provide users with additional search topics when the ‘Google It’ option is chosen, allowing better exploration of related information. The recent update to Bard also improved the AI’s math and logic abilities with integration into the PaLM (Program and Language Models) project.

Finally, Google has also indicated that Bard will be integrated with coding abilities shortly, improving the tool’s versatility and accuracy as an AI assistant.
