Kristina Behr, a former exec at Microsoft, joined Google as vice president of product management for collaboration and apps at Google Workspace.

Behr spent 17 years at Microsoft, most recently as a vice president of product for Microsoft Teams. She started at Microsoft as a global marketing analyst in 2005, and also worked on Bing and Xbox.

Behr will report to Johanna Voolich Wright, who runs product management for Google Workspace, and Aparna Pappu, general manager of Google Workspace.

“The idea of joining a powerhouse of female technology leaders was a big part of my reason for joining the team,” Behr told GeekWire.

LeoStella, a Tukwila, Wash.-based satellite design and manufacturing company, appointed Tim Kienberger as CEO.

Kienberger has three decades of aerospace and defense technology experience, and is a director at communications company L3Harris. He spent 15 years at Boeing, starting as a chief engineer and program manager and serving the last seven years as a director.

Kienberger takes over the position from Mike Hettich who served as CEO since 2019 and is retiring from the company.

Armughan Ahmad is now CEO of Appen, an Australian artificial intelligence company with its U.S. headquarters in Kirkland, Wash. He was previously president and managing partner of digital at KPMG and senior vice president and general manager at Dell Technologies.

Jayan Eledath is now chief technology officer at ShortTok, a New York City-based startup that provides automated storytelling technologies. He was previously director of applied science at Amazon, leading a team that developed computer vision, sensor fusion and deep learning algorithms for Amazon Go’s Just Walk Out Technology.

Elizabeth Kiehner joined Nortal, a Tallin, Estonia-based strategic change and technology company, as chief growth officer. New York City-based Kiehner was previously an executive at IT services and consulting company Capgemini and will represent Nortal’s North American operations in Kirkland, Wash. as well as its global portfolio.
