Are you looking to change your cybersecurity role in 2023 but are unsure of where to start?

Job searching can be an overwhelming process for anyone, and with hybrid and remote work an ever-growing option, the opportunities have been cracked wide open. (ISC)² found in 2022 there is a nearly 3.4 million person hiring gap within the cybersecurity workforce.

To help you in your cybersecurity job research, we've compiled a list of seven resources.

1. NIST and NICE

National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education has great resources to help guide you in new cybersecurity roles, potential work roles, career pathways, data, accreditation frameworks, and additional resources.

2. CyberSeek

CyberSeek is a tool for job seekers, students, employers, policy makers, and just cybersecurity professionals to share the current happenings in the InfoSec hiring market. It also have an interactive map to share how many cybersecurity job opportunities there are in your state.

3. NICCS

National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS) has additional resources for education and training, workforce development, and career opportunities.

4. U.S. Army and NETCOM
The U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Commend (NETCOM) is revitalizing its program to further its mission of ensuring freedom of action in cyberspace. Visit https://www.usajobs.gov/ and use keyword: NETCOM. Be sure to also check out the U.S. Army Cyber Command resource center for upcoming internships and fellowships within the government.
5. USA Jobs

6. Local cybersecurity associations

While there are regional and national groups for cybersecurity non-profit associations, we recommend connecting with your local chapter for job network connections. By joining these groups, you can tap not only a resource while job hunting, but also a connection to a great support system of like-minded peers in your area. The top associations we recommend are ARMA, CSA, IIA, InfraGard, (ISC)², ISACA, ISSA, and WiCyS.

7. LinkedIn

There is nothing like a recommendation for a role from someone internally at the company you're interested in. Connect with your network and ask around for who may be hiring; you may be surprised to hear what you find. Also, don't be scared to connect with cybersecurity hiring recruiters.
