A new ransomware group called Ransomed.vc is claiming to have breached all of Sony's systems and is selling the data on the Dark Web. The group is demanding ransom from Sony but stated they will sell the data if Sony does not pay their desired ransom.

The hacking group claims to have compromised all of Sony's systems. At the time of this publication, Ransomed.vc has yet to provide any definitive proof. However, the group has posted some sample data from the hack online, including screenshots of an internal login page, an internal PowerPoint presentation, and several Java files.

While Ransomed.vc is a relatively new cybercrime group, they have already racked up an impressive number of victims. The group claims to be operating "in strict compliance with GDPR and Data Privacy Laws." It is also worth noting that Ransomed.vc is advertising "affiliates" to sign up. This suggests that the group is looking to expand its operations and recruit new members.

This is the latest in a string of cyberattacks against Sony in recent years. In 2011, hackers compromised the personal information of millions of PlayStation Network users. And in 2014, cybercriminals attacked Sony Pictures Entertainment, releasing internal emails and other sensitive data.

It is unclear why Sony has been targeted by hackers so frequently. However, the company is a major player in the entertainment industry and is certainly a large target.

At the time of this article, Sony has not released a statement about the hack, as it is likely that the company is currently investigating the incident and working to protect its customers' data before sharing details.

If you are concerned that your data may have been compromised in the Sony hack, please contact Sony's customer support team for assistance.
