Axiata and Infosys adopt openness as a strategy
Axiata is implementing an ambitious transformation plan to move beyond being a pure connectivity player while improving profitability. Its objective is to become a next-generation digital champion by 2024 with a focus on three key pillars: digital telco, digital businesses, and digital infrastructure. Infosys is helping communication service providers (CSP) such as Axiata to go beyond connectivity profitably, including in the B2B market. In order to achieve Axiata’s goals, the two partners are adopting “openness” as a strategy, including a collaboration on a commercial open radio access network (RAN) deployment that aligns with the TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture (ODA) and Open APIs. Download the case study to discover how an openness strategy has helped Axiata to achieve results that include a rise in digital revenue of 1-2% to 5-7% and a 30% improvement in churn rates during the first year after launch. Watch the video with Thomas Hundt, CEO of Smart Axiata, Anand Swaminathan, Executive Vice President and Global Industry leader for the Communications, Media and Technology group at Infosys and Nik Willetts, CEO of TM Forum in which they discuss Axiata’s ambitious plan for transformation.
