Rohre Titcomb scored a new role.
Titcomb, previously COO and venture partner at Seattle venture capital firm Graham & Walker, announced Thursday she joined the WNBA’s Seattle Storm as COO.
“I’ve been dreaming of bringing my passion for sports, business, and women together in my career, and now it’s a reality,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post.
Titcomb spent nearly five years at Graham & Walker, previously known as Female Founders Alliance. She’ll remain a venture partner at the firm.
Titcomb, a Seattle native, began her career as part of a family-run apparel business that uses eco-friendly bamboo material. The Dartmouth alum and world champion ultimate frisbee player later became the CEO and co-founder of Five Ultimate, an athletic brand for ultimate frisbee players that was acquired in 2019. She co-owns the Seattle Cascades, a professional ultimate team that competes in the West Division of the American Ultimate Disc League.
“The addition of someone with Rohre’s experience positions us so well for the opportunities that lie ahead including the opening of our new center for basketball performance,” Storm CEO and president Alisha Valavanis said in a statement.
Graham & Walker invests in women-founded tech companies in North America. In 2021, the firm announced a $10 million venture capital fund.

— Two execs from Amazon Prime Air recently departed. James Mullin, chief pilot, left his position last month, while head of flight test operations Robert Dreer announced on LinkedIn he will join vertical take-off and landing startup Opener. CNBC first reported the news.
— Benn Bollay is now CTO at B2B software startup ReachSuite. The longtime software engineer most recently was CTO at Fusebit, a Seattle-based startup he founded that helps developers with software integration capabilities. Bollay was also the founder and CTO at Union Bay Networks, a Seattle cloud startup acquired by Apple in 2014. He was also a CEO-in-Residence at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
— Tax compliance company Avalara promoted Megan Higgins to senior vice president of Global Partners. She joined the Seattle-based company more than four years ago, most recently serving as its vice president and general manager of global partner business development and strategy.
—Bellevue, Wash.-based cannabis financial technology company POSaBIT promoted Chris Baker to COO. He joined the company about a year ago and most recently worked as a chief strategy officer, as well as a mergers and acquisitions consultant. Baker will relocate to Seattle from Phoenix as part of the new role.
