Dell is pushing the limits of the XPS 15’s slim chassis The XPS 15 is still loud, still hot, and still good. But when it comes to the combination of power, build quality, and portability, the Dell XPS 15 is the closest Windows-running contender that I’ve been able to find. It’s exceptionally thin and light for its size.

There’s the Dell Optimizer program which (in theory) learns your behavior over time and tailors everything from audio quality to charging speed accordingly. Dell says the Latitude is “leading the new age of intelligence.”. Dell also says that Optimizer will direct your bandwidth to videoconferencing applications while they’re in use.

Microsoft wants to make Windows 11 more flexible and open We’ve got a special episode of Decoder today — I’m talking to Satya Nadella, the CEO and chairman of Microsoft. And I definitely wanted to know about the decision to run Android apps on Windows. Nadella also mentions “aggregators” in the context of the Windows store.

I attempted to run our routine video test (which involves exporting a five-minute, 33-second 4K video) multiple times using hardware acceleration, and Adobe Premiere Pro consistently crashed during the export. Disabling the hardware acceleration in Premiere and relying solely on software got the job done, but it took an hour and 15 minutes.

While that would be a midrange price for a Windows laptop, it’s high for a Chromebook ( and most other reviewers have panned the thing for its price ). The most unique feature of the CX5, even among recent Windows laptops, is its finish. And, of course, you can forget about all kinds of desktop apps to which Windows gives you access.).

It’s one of my favorite keyboards that I’ve tried on a workstation laptop this year, with the possible exception of the Dell XPS 15. inches — but at four pounds, it’s lighter than many competitors including the Dell XPS 15 and the MacBook Pro 16. ThinkPads usually have great keyboards, and this one is no exception.
