For the security appliance, all traffic is actually intercepted by the hypervisor, which will generate context switches for every I/O packet received. Is the Linux bridge efficient enough? This will drive down performance.

Jeremy is a “hard-core” networking professional, and so hearing his feedback on Cumulus Linux was, in my opinion, useful.

Given my previous role at EMC (involved in storage) and my current role at VMware focused on network virtualization (which encompasses SDN), I was quite curious.
