Judging Criteria

We're judging posts that we see to provide the highest value to industry professionals. Does your article include useful and actionable information? Is it tactical or strategic? Does it provide short- or long-term value? Those are the types of questions our judges will be asking themselves.

PROCESS AND TIMING

Submitting content for consideration

Articles must have been published between October 18th, 2019 and October 13th, 2020 to be eligible.

Nominations are open until October 13th. After that, our panel of judges will review the nominations and narrow them down to a list of finalists for each category.

Voting

Finalists will be announced on November 11th. Once finalists are announced, we will open up voting to our readers. Voting ends on November 23rd. Winners will be announced on December 4th.

Jeff Cohen

Senior Vice President / Director, Project Management Office at Enterprise Bank

Jeff is a Senior Technology Executive with over 30+ years of progressive technology and program management experience in the banking/financial services industry. Starting his career in 1987, Jeff was initially focused on the retail banking business. With the consolidation of the banking industry in the early 1990’s Jeff joined the mergers and acquisition team at Citizen Financial Group where he was responsible for back-office integrations, divestitures and asset sales. Working for the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2008, Jeff was responsible for integration of portions of the global ABN AMRO acquisition with Citizens Bank and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Jeff is currently a Senior Vice President and Director of the Project Management Office at Enterprise Bank in Massachusetts where he directs the intake and implementation of all new projects within the bank. Jeff is a thirteen-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps and currently lives in New Hampshire.

Laurie McCabe

Cofounder & Partner at SMB Group, Inc.

Laurie brings more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry to her current role as Cofounder & Partner, SMB Group. Laurie has built widespread recognition for her insights in the small and medium business (SMB) technology market.

Prior to SMB Group, Laurie worked in analyst roles as a Partner at Hurwitz & Associates; Vice President of SMB Insights & Solutions at AMI-Partners; and Vice President at Summit Strategies, where her original research of the emerging cloud computing model earned her broad recognition as a thought leader in this area. Laurie’s nine years at Digital Equipment Corporation, including her last role as Director of Market and Competitive Intelligence, provide her with critical experience from the vendor perspective.

Laurie is a six-time Small Business Influencer Awards winner; has been recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential People in Small Business Marketing by AllBusiness; and is a member of Dun & Bradstreet’s B2B Expert Community. Scott Lowe

Staff Kubernetes Architect

Scott Lowe is a well-known author, blogger, speaker, podcaster (host of the Full Stack Journey podcast), and a 25+ year veteran of the IT industry. Scott has held a variety of roles over the course of his career, ranging from entry-level desktop support to CTO for a small start-up. He's currently a staff architect at VMware, having joined the company as part of the Heptio acquisition. He focuses on cloud computing, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
