So I went back and took another look at EC2 and specifically the EC2 Operating System and Software or in their language, "off the shelf" Amazon Machine Images. In a nutshell, some of the standard web platforms can be purchased and installed as images. Oracle DB, DB2 - yup these are available. agile software development.

Vamosi: There are at least two complete operating systems available for pentesters. There are other pentesting operating systems like Parrot. I didn't mention Parrot but Kali has the majority market share as far as pen testing operating systems are concerned. Vamosi: Yeah, it’s true. So anecdote.
