Vamosi: I first attended DEF CON in 2000 when it was still at the Alexis Park Hotel, just off the Strip. Actually it's at five or six different hotels, including Caesars Yeah. For example, I have a laptop and it runs Linux so I can get into network security. A lot of times it's software is not free. That's a steal.

And so they said, What can you do with this, you know, and I said, Well, I'll just put it into my little Linux terminal and the strings dash on it. And then they started sending me to, you know, get training on how to formally do forensics and get all the software and all that kind of stuff. And so I started doing that.
