I haven't dug through the group policy yet but I imagine that's a likely place for that setting to be pushed to the client. Additionally, I attempted to reenable the service via Group Policy so as not to have to touch all the machines this service was disabled on. I'm wondering if it could be an adapter (hardware) issue.
