IT executives now refers to SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) rather than web services, while online delivery of software is usually called SaaS (Software as a Service) instead of the ASP (Application Service Provider) model. The jargon in online software has changed over the last years. However the principles remain the same.

On the last point on the trends in BI, generally I usually refer to BI as encompassing insights into how the business has performed. For insights into the future of the business, I prefer to refer to it as strategic intelligence. However, I assume that not many would understand what I refer to when using this term.

Service-Enabling your Enterprise Applications. This is probably still true but I wonder if a company like Google that seems to have been implementing step 2 for years now, is not already well into service-enabling its core applications (and maybe they were designed as such from the beginning).
