In October we were excited to be back at Oracle’s main annual event, now under a new name as Oracle CloudWorld. Overall, CloudWorld 2022 was an enjoyable and highly productive event for Flexagon and a personal highlight for me. . The last Oracle OpenWorld event was held in London 2020, and it seems like forever ago.

Ascend 2022 was a huge hit, combining OATUG and OHUG in one event with customers, sponsors, and exhibitors participating in-person and virtually. Many customers moving EBS to OCI are also leveraging their existing investments in SOA, DB/APEX, and BI while adopting new cloud services like Integration (OIC).

One issue we chose to address at my table during this event was the fear that top-management usually has with wide-spread relatively uncontrolled knowledge sharing: the risk of some very valuable information falling into the wrong hands. I don’t see it as the magic bullet in such a context.
