As part of my Linux migration (see my initial progress report ), late this past week I started setting up my first non-Apple laptop since 2003. In this post, I’d like to share my thoughts on my new laptop, a Dell Latitude E7370. From a comparison perspective, I’d say it’s on par with my son’s 11” MacBook Air. 16 GB of RAM.

Dell is buying EMC. Rancher—the company behind RancherOS (Linux distro that uses Docker for system services as well as user applications) and Rancher (a management platform for containerized infrastructure)—recently announced a container metadata service they’re saying is analogous to Amazon’s Instance Metadata service.
