There are a few alternatives to Ansible such as Puppet, Chef, and Salt, but Ansible is often regarded as the simplest tool to use, which is very attractive for beginners. . LPI Linux Essentials 1.6. That’s where Ansible comes into play.

Michael Kashin has a handy little tool that functions like ssh-copy-id on servers, but for network devices (leveraging Netmiko). Anthony Shaw has a good comparison of Ansible, StackStorm, and Salt (with a particular view at applicability in a networking context). Check out the GitHub repository.
