It wouldn't be hard for others like Equifax, ID.me, and GLEIF to issue credentials based on the "real person" or "real company" verifications they're already doing. Tags: twitter identity verifiable+credentials. Companies like Onfido can already do this. These credential issuers could charge whatever the market would bear.

Equifax and Correlatable Identifiers

Yesterday word broke that Equifax had suffered a data breach that resulted in 143 million identities being stolen. While I don't know any specifics about Equifax's security, it's likely that their security was pretty good. No one would break into Equifax to steal the data from a single random individual. Because of Sutton's Law.
