As a result, Amazon’s ad business grew 58 percent in 2021 to more than $31 billion in revenue, making it the third-biggest online ad seller in the US, only trailing Google and Facebook. Along with Amazon Web Services, advertising has emerged as one of the company’s top two profit engines.
