There’s the Dell Optimizer program which (in theory) learns your behavior over time and tailors everything from audio quality to charging speed accordingly. Dell says the Latitude is “leading the new age of intelligence.”. Dell also says that Optimizer will direct your bandwidth to videoconferencing applications while they’re in use.

The XPS 17’s trackpad is about as big as you’ll find on a Windows laptop. Speaking of the trackpad, it’s about as big as you’ll find on a Windows laptop and works quite well. As Monica Chin pointed out in her review of the prior model , the XPS 17’s screen makes it very easy to put two windows side by side for comparison.

Microsoft wants to make Windows 11 more flexible and open We’ve got a special episode of Decoder today — I’m talking to Satya Nadella, the CEO and chairman of Microsoft. And I definitely wanted to know about the decision to run Android apps on Windows. Nadella also mentions “aggregators” in the context of the Windows store.

The Elite Folio is a lightweight, leather-covered, convertible Windows laptop powered by a Snapdragon processor with Arm architecture. Arm for Windows has certainly improved since we first reviewed the Surface Pro X in 2019. I remember trying out the first Surface Pro X in 2019, when Windows on Arm was painfully slow.

Chromebooks can cover a wide variety of computing needs now, and a good Chromebook can be more useful than a mediocre Windows laptop. There are so many similarities between the offerings from Asus, Lenovo, Google, HP, Dell, and Samsung that a conspiracy-minded person might suggest they’re all sourcing their components from the same factory.
