Chrome version 100 arrives with refreshed logo in tow

Google’s Chrome browser has been updated to version 100, almost 14 years after it introduced the world to its clean design and all-encompassing “omnibox” in 2008. Google says the version 100 update is rolling out on stable channels now across Windows, Mac, Linux , Android , and iOS.

You ever think about how Asus put out like 40 models of a laptop called the “Eee PC”

It originally ran a custom Linux operating system that reviewers loved ( Laptop Mag ’s Mark Spoonauer said it was “ten times simpler to use than any Windows notebook”) and was generally heralded as a new kind of computer with tremendous mass appeal. The second, obviously more important product was the $399 Eee PC 701. And that was just Asus!

Guess what: Windows Server is still around

My experience has been that companies still embrace packaged software that runs on Windows and use Linux to replace legacy Unix based applications and appliances.

It would be great to see Docker get support for connecting containers directly to Open vSwitch (OVS), which is generally considered the de facto standard for networking on Linux hosts. CoreOS is a pretty cool project that takes a new look at how Linux distributions should be constructed. Might be worth checking out.
