In short, a very good alternative to Apple software, that has been recently updated and improved. Unlike iTunes, MediaTrans has an interface designed only for backup and data synchronization. The best way to do this is to go to an iTunes backup on your PC. The UDID number is the name of the directory backups and is located here: C:Users AppDataRoamingApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup. If there are more UDID directories than devices you have, then there are probably backups present from devices you had that you upgraded from.

Every Apple user accepts the fact that iTunes is a big mess. Apple recently tried to improve iTunes, but it has not been enough. iTunes is used to backup your device and save them locally on your PC, keeping them safe from prying eyes or malicious users who want to stock up on your data.
