Netflix has a good post on how they use prioritized load shedding to provide a good user experience during system outages. Servers/Hardware. Operating Systems/Applications. But the CX5 has done a great job of convincing me that my knee-jerk was misplaced — there’s almost nothing, apart from the operating system, separating this laptop from an excellent midrange Windows notebook. Chromebooks have grown up, and so have their prices. Oh look, an HD camera. And then there’s the performance.
