While I know Blender , the open source 3D animation tool, and in fact spent a Saturday playing with it once, I didn’t know they’ve created completely open source films (animations) that anyone can pull apart and recreate any way they want. There is a deep level of product integration in the program.

Hammond: So I kind of got a little bit more inquisitive and a lot more curious and wanting to learn and understand more about the technology in front of the computers, the programs that I would use on a day to day basis. No, what hooked me was Myst. This a benevolent, stunningly beautiful mystery.
