Originally, turning on HDR mode would wash out the colors of your entire Windows desktop, though that’s now fixed. That last example can be weird in practice: if you expand a bright white web browser page (like the one you’re reading) from a window to fullscreen, you can watch the entire screen dim to a paper white instead.
