There’s the Dell Optimizer program which (in theory) learns your behavior over time and tailors everything from audio quality to charging speed accordingly. Dell says the Latitude is “leading the new age of intelligence.”. Dell also says that Optimizer will direct your bandwidth to videoconferencing applications while they’re in use.

I found it nice to be able to get a clean, filtered report on what Windows updates got installed during the build process. The way this tool works is by reading the ZTIWindowsUpdate.log file from the c:minintsmsosdosdlogs directory and extracting the list of installed Windows Updates. It is sorted by KBArticle number. split(")")[0].Trim()

This is the Dell Latitude 9510 2-in-1. Windows Precision gestures worked as advertised. The 9510 won’t be winning any beauty pageants, but it’s sturdy and feels exceptionally well made in the way I’ve come to expect from Dell. Dell Optimizer improves battery life by adapting settings (brightness, Bluetooth, etc.)

Dell’s newly announced Latitude 7320 Detachable looks to be vying for the top spot in the enterprise market. Dell says this is “the world’s fastest charging stylus pen available on a commercial detachable tablet.”

While building out the Windows 10 reference image task sequence, it dawned on me that I should be making sure the latest Dell Application Component Updates are installed. Under Update Type, I checked Application Software. Once in the GUI app, click on the Settings icon. Click on Update Filter. Everything else is left unchecked.
