Epic, which filed the case late last week , claims it’s “no coincidence” that Nreal’s name “looks and sounds virtually identical” to Unreal’s branding. The China-based Nreal makes an augmented reality headset known as the Nreal Light, which projects 3D objects into real space, and it’s developed a demo game called Nreal Tower.

One consequence of moving the entire show online is that companies seem to be stretching out their announcements to fill the suddenly larger virtual space.

There’s virtual reality and there’s augmented reality — both of these are incredibly interesting. I’m excited about augmented reality because unlike virtual reality which closes the world out, AR allows individuals to be present in the world but hopefully allows an improvement on what’s happening presently.
