Microsoft releases preview of Android apps on Windows 11 via Amazon partnership

It’s a first for Windows, made possible by a Microsoft partnership Amazon and Intel. The preview is rolling out in the Microsoft Store to Windows 11 users in the Windows Insider Program Beta Channel, starting with a “curated experience” of about 50 apps.

Calling it a “historic day for the Mac,” Apple CEO Tim Cook detailed the transitions to PowerPC, OS X 10, and a move to Intel chips before unveiling its plans to use Apple’s own ARM-powered silicon in Macs in the future. New Intel-powered Macs are still in the pipeline, so Apple isn’t moving exclusively to ARM-based Macs just yet.
